Farm Country

Fall’s colors in New Hampshire’s farm country are magical right now. Golden carpets of ferns highlight the woodlands. Dusty rose and bright copper edge the fields. Along the swamps, where the early morning frosts have already settled in, splashes of orange-red stand out vividly against tawny grasses.

From Plymouth to the Connecticut River Valley, small family farms and sweeping vistas are punctuated with picturesque crumbling barns, decaying dairy farms and aged farm equipment.

The majesty of those miles of standing corn – rigid and dry – waiting for harvest. Silage?, Biofuel?
